Emily and Mike spent the morning of their wedding day getting ready with their favourite people, before wandering off to a quiet little corner of Sunset Park to exchange handwritten vows. With a video camera making its way from hand to hand among family and friends, and a wedding party that may genuinely hold the record for most relaxed group of humans ever assembled, the whole day unfolded with an effortless kind of ease.
We wandered around the park for their portraits, had a beautiful lakeside ceremony, and made it to cocktail hour at Churchhills for the reception. In the evening, we snuck across the road to the Sunset Inn for a few moments before the sun called it a night.
There was good food, plenty of drinks, a few laughs over the infamous lasagna story, and eventually a dance floor that got its full and proper use. The kind of wedding day that was just good people, good stories, and a whole lot of love.
